National Lift Truck is currently looking to hire in the following positions:


SALES COORDINATOR/ADMINISTRATOR

This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with our technicians, customers, suppliers and sales team.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with proficiency in Excel and Word.  Skilled in time-management and ability to work independently.  Skilled in both written and verbal communication.  Ability to exercise sound judgment to determine if files/documents require management review. Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and plan work accordingly. Experience in the material handling market and related industries desirable.  As Sales Administrator, your responsibilities would include Retail Sales, Allied and Wholesale.  

General duties include

  • Reviewing sales files for required documents. 
  • Open installation work orders and distribute to affected company personnel. 
  • Generate and submit purchase orders to vendors in a timely manner. 
  • Receiving product, assigning company-designated number
  • Generate and submit purchase orders to vendors in a timely manner. 
  • Tracking sales from order to delivery including invoicing. 
  • Processes vendor invoices and forwards to Accounts Payable per pre-established time lines.
  • Create, update and review order workbooks in Microsoft Excel to ensure accuracy.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of all Sales Coordination ancillary spreadsheets.
  • Respond to both external and internal customer and vendor requests.
  • Generating quotes for sales managers. 
  • Assist in the development and attainment of Sales Coordination Goals and Strategies.
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

JOURNEYMAN ROAD MECHANIC

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Road Mechanic to service and repair equipment for customers in the Chicago Metropolitan market area. We are a local, well established company with thousands of continuously satisfied customers whom we have accumulated and served for over 50 years.: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will perform maintenance, diagnose and repair a multitude of material handling and construction equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, cranes and personnel carrying equipment.

Requirements:

  • Needs to possess knowledge and skills to perform normal and unique “on site” repairs.
  • Good organizational, writing, and minor computer skills.
  • Self-motivated, and able to work with very little supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, and clean, insurable driving record.
  • Must have own tools.
  • 7 years minimum of experience as a journeyman repairing forklifts, cranes, other heavy equipment or as an aerial lifts mechanic.
  • Must pass a mechanical aptitude and ability test.
  • All offers of employment are contingent on passing all pre-employment screenings including: background check, MVR, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
  • Will be required to join Loc. 150 operators union, and will fall under the terms of its negotiated contract and compensation package.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

We are seeking an experienced PM Mechanic to service and repair our equipment for customers in the Chicago Metropolitan market area. We are a local, well established company with thousands of continuously satisfied customers whom we have accumulated and served in over 50 years. We have an immediate opening for: 

Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

  • Will conduct maintenance and minor repair work on all sorts of material handling equipment: forklifts, aerial lifts, single man lifts, scissor lift, boom lifts, fork trucks, stackers, telehandlers, cranes and personnel carrier equipment.
  • Must satisfactorily perform minor diagnostics and have the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Needs to possess knowledge and skills to perform normal and reoccurring inspections
  • Will perform prep for rent inspections when the machine is transferred between customers
  • Must assist in the loading, unloading and cleaning of equipment
  • Will schedule quarterly, semi-annual and annual planned maintenance inspections
  • Must assist Field Mechanics with normal and reoccurring equipment maintenance

Requirements

  • Education:  High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Experience: Mechanics, pneumatics and computer diagnostic software

TERRITORY OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for a territory rental and sales position. The right candidate will be solution oriented, mechanically inclined and willing to learn our business from the inside out. As a multi-line provider of industrial and construction equipment including forklifts, aerial work platforms, telehandlers and cranes you will be the key contact for our established customer base while developing new customers within an assigned territory in the Chicago Metropolitan market area. Experience in the material handling or construction industries is a plus but the right attitude and a willingness to learn will provide an opportunity to grow with us into the future. This is an outside sales, repeat business and selling opportunity.

Requirements:

  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Office a plus
  • Late model car or truck, valid driver's license current automobile insurance required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)
