Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview – An accounts payable specialist participates in several duties including but not limited to daily processing of invoices, check printing, statement reconciliation, utilizing MS Excel spreadsheets as well as various clerical duties including filing, records archiving and organization. The position works directly with our Accounting manager and Financial Controller to accurately record the company's financial data in a timely manner.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Processing supplier invoices through either our purchase order system or manual postings.
  2. Scheduling, printing and distribution of company checks to our suppliers.
  3. Utilizing MS Excel spreadsheets for departmentalization of invoices.
  4. Reconciling statements and working with our suppliers to resolve any existing disputes.
  5. Building relationships with our supplier’s staff to ensure an open line of communication.
  6. Analyzing various A/P reports including monthly ageings, cash discount reports and other misc reports.
  7. Interact with Department Managers and its staff to improve procedures or resolve concerns with the day to day functionality of accounts payables.
  8. Communicating departmental processes with the accounting manager and financial controller to streamline and organize A/P procedures to increase productivity.
  9. Organize and store financial records for archiving.

An accounts payable specialist plays a very important role processing our company's financial activity. This position requires a strong knowledge of both accounting procedures and financial software, in addition to strong organization and time management skills. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills to analyze and report supplier activity to senior management. A goal of this position is to improve productivity, accuracy and the profitability in all aspects of the accounts payable's department and to assist in the growth and success of National Lift Truck and its employees.

JOURNEYMAN ROAD MECHANIC

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Road Mechanic to service and repair equipment for customers in the Chicago Metropolitan market area. We are a local, well established company with thousands of continuously satisfied customers whom we have accumulated and served for over 50 years.: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will perform maintenance, diagnose and repair a multitude of material handling and construction equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, boom lifts, cranes and personnel carrying equipment.

Requirements:

  • Needs to possess knowledge and skills to perform normal and unique “on site” repairs.
  • Good organizational, writing, and minor computer skills.
  • Self-motivated, and able to work with very little supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, and clean, insurable driving record.
  • Must have own tools.
  • 7 years minimum of experience as a journeyman repairing forklifts, cranes, other heavy equipment or as an aerial lifts mechanic.
  • Must pass a mechanical aptitude and ability test.
  • All offers of employment are contingent on passing all pre-employment screenings including: background check, MVR, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
  • Will be required to join Loc. 150 operators union, and will fall under the terms of its negotiated contract and compensation package.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

We are seeking an experienced PM Mechanic to service and repair our equipment for customers in the Chicago Metropolitan market area. We are a local, well established company with thousands of continuously satisfied customers whom we have accumulated and served in over 50 years. We have an immediate opening for: 

Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

  • Will conduct maintenance and minor repair work on all sorts of material handling equipment: forklifts, aerial lifts, single man lifts, scissor lift, boom lifts, fork trucks, stackers, telehandlers, cranes and personnel carrier equipment.
  • Must satisfactorily perform minor diagnostics and have the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Needs to possess knowledge and skills to perform normal and reoccurring inspections
  • Will perform prep for rent inspections when the machine is transferred between customers
  • Must assist in the loading, unloading and cleaning of equipment
  • Will schedule quarterly, semi-annual and annual planned maintenance inspections
  • Must assist Field Mechanics with normal and reoccurring equipment maintenance

Requirements

  • Education:  High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Experience: Mechanics, pneumatics and computer diagnostic software

TERRITORY OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for a territory rental and sales position. The right candidate will be solution oriented, mechanically inclined and willing to learn our business from the inside out. As a multi-line provider of industrial and construction equipment including forklifts, aerial work platforms, telehandlers and cranes you will be the key contact for our established customer base while developing new customers within an assigned territory in the Chicago Metropolitan market area. Experience in the material handling or construction industries is a plus but the right attitude and a willingness to learn will provide an opportunity to grow with us into the future. This is an outside sales, repeat business and selling opportunity.

Requirements:

  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Office a plus
  • Late model car or truck, valid driver's license current automobile insurance required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check)
